Today we finished our Daniel Study.

Lesson 12: "Go Your Way"

1.  We have the assurance of Israel's deliverance.

  •  In God's drama, unparalleled distress can set the perfect stage for unparalled deliverance.
  • Such distress will not lead to Israel's deliverance alone.

2. We have the assurance of bodily resurrection

3.  We have the assurance that lights willing to shine in the darkness  will shine forever.

4.  We have the assurance that the willing will be purified and the wicked will continue to be wicked.

5. We have the assurance that God's plan will unfold to the finest detail.

  • May the words and concepts He's taught us be sealed in us.
  •  May we go our ways  like Daniels.

We watched the introduction to our next study Lessons I Learned In The Dark by Jennifer Rothschild.

We can't always choose our circumstances but can choose the way we respond.

2 Corinthians 5:7-"walk by faith and not by sight"

By Faith                                                            By Sight

Willing to take a step                                        Play it safe

Follows God-given potential                            Ceases control

Responds with thankfulness                              Responds with bitterness and anger

Perseveres, endures                                           Quits

Guided by truth                                                 Influenced by feelings

Willing to wait on God                                    Waits on things from God

It can be well with your soul even if it's not with your circumstance

Being  governed by your circumstances is walking by sight

God is your guide when you walk by faith

Lessons on the journey of faith God is good, life is hard

When I choose to walk by faith and not by sight, no matter how hard life is...I can simply say, "It is well with my soul" even if it is not well with my circumstances.

Session 10/SPEECHLESS

God never gives anyone a 2nd hand revelation of Himself.  If I received it, it is for me.

1. The drama we can see very likely pales in comparison to what we can't.

"Angels are created spiritual beings with moral judgment and high intelligence, without physical bodies, simply said, we are not angels.

2.  The Bible strongly conveys a hierarchy among the heavenly hosts

    Who is Michael?

An angel whose name means "who is like God?"

    One of the chief princes

    Israel's prince and guardian

Daniel was interceding for Israel, a nation especially entrusted to Michael's care.

3.  These "princes" are "rulers" and "authorities" in the heavenly realms

Assigned to earthly empires and the humans who govern them

Any "princes" opposing God's ambassadors could only be demonic

4. Dr. Charles Swindoll writes, "These verses flash a sobering warning overcoming demonic forces is not a once for all matter.

5. God purposefully entrusted this kind of encounter and information to someone like Daniel.
